About me:

For bonus points and a fun fact, on why it's MGyuri.hu, scroll down.

Hi! I'm Gyorgy, George, Georges, however you'd like to call me. I was born in Budapest, on a hot summer day in August, 1986. I was always addicted to computer from the first time I saw a NES console at my best childhood friends, to deleting C:\Windows on a computer of a nearby realtor who had his office on the same floor in our apartment complex and was kind enough to let me in front of his PC. Well, he really shouldn't have.

I got better at understanding this whole computer thingy by getting my first email address at my elementary school in 1999, when I was just about to turn 13. It all went uphill since then. If you wanted to find me after school (as we didn't have a PC at home) you would have had to search the PC lab in the school. (Unfortunately they usually closed at 6 PM.)

I made countless website starting from my first Hello World in Netscape Composer in elementary school to learning and coding websites for friends and companies in ASP. I didn't really get into ASP.Net so it all stopped there. (I picked up some WordPress knowledge recently though)

After randomly installing old Windows versions in Virtual PCs just for fun, I decided to go to the next level and join this community by making this website.

Nowadays I'm a marketing guy working with some friends in his own company, before that I even had the privilege to work for Microsoft for 13 years and later join the gaming industry too.

My interests outside of retro tech are Star Wars, horror (mostly 90s slasher movies), games and sports/fitness (being a cycling instructor in my third job really helps to stay fit)

About this website:

Proudly made 100% on a virtual machine running Windows Me (yes, I know...a guilty pleasure), FrontPage 2000, Photoshop 6.0 and uploaded to the host with WS_FTP :)

Oh yeah... the bonus... It's called MGyuri.hu as my last name starts with M, the nickname for Gyorgy is Gyuri so M + Gyuri=MGyuri. Yeah, nothing special to you, but to me, it was my first username ever. So here we go. Now you know. :)
